Using our sugar-free ketchup sauce as a base, our barbecue sauce, home-made in the Thermomix, is quick, easy and economical. It does need some sweetness and so we have used molasses—although it is as calorific as refined sugar it contains more nutrients and has a more complex flavour.
Add a few drops of liquid smoke to the mix and use it to soak your next batch of succulent pork or beef ribs slow-cooked on charcoal.
