Well if you add faux and donut together, mix with a little LA-marketing pizzazz, you’ve created a linguistically twisted version of the doughnut; soon enough you’ve created a chain of coffee and donut outlets in California under the brand Fōnut—their schtick is “always baked, never fried”. One of the partners in the show is Waylynn Lucas, and Yolaine Corbin has adapted his recipe, first published in Saveur magazine, for the Thermomix.
