Turmeric Milk

Time: 5 minutes in the Thermomix
Yield: 1 serve

Popping up on the breakfast menu of every trendy cafe around the world, turmeric milk—often referred to as a “Golden Latte”—is a delicious drink you can quickly and easily make at home in your Thermomix.

It is traditionally made with regular cow’s milk but this dairy-free recipe uses nut milk as a substitute, which gives the drink a beautiful, rich, nutty flavour. Enjoy this drink on a daily basis to warm up and nourish your insides. When cooking with turmeric in the Thermomix there is the issue of yellow staining thanks to the rich colour of this super spice. If your lid does get stained, give it a good clean and put it outside in the sun for a few hours.

This is the first time I've had a golden latte so I don't have a point of comparison. I used less than 1T honey and I'm glad I did. Any sweeter would have been too sweet. I'm going to try other recipes that include ginger, too, and fresh turmeric.
