When I walk into my local deli I am always greeted with a glass cabinet full of assorted desserts, including cannoncini. These are delicious Italian cream horns, made with puff pastry and filled with custard. The great thing is that you can make the puff pastry ahead of time and freeze until you are ready to thaw and use. Fill with custard just before serving to prevent the pastry from going soggy, although they probably won’t hang around for long enough for that to happen.
